Who we are
RiskPod is the trading name of The Risk Pod Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15385922. Our registered office is c/o The RGH Entrepreneur-Ship, The Ship, 3 Hart Street, London EC3R 7NB, United Kingdom. RiskPod is part of Resource Group Holdings Plc.
We connect organisations with specialist risk, compliance and financial crime expertise, on contract or employed terms. For the personal data described here we are the "data controller", which means we are responsible for how it is used.
What we collect
When you contact us through this website
The contact and enquiry forms ask for your name, email address and message, and optionally your organisation, phone number, area of expertise needed, location and preferred start date. We also record the time and the page you sent it from. We use your IP address for a short time to block automated abuse, but we do not store it with your message.
When you work with us as a specialist
- Contact details (name, phone number, email address, postal address)
- Your CV, career history, skills, knowledge and experience
- Job preferences, availability and preferred working pattern
- Right to work documents and identity checks, to meet legal requirements
- References and interview notes, collected by us or supplied by others
- Insurance certificates
- Bank and payment details, if we pay you directly
We collect this when you sign up to the RiskPod platform at app.riskpod.com, apply for a role through us, speak with us about an opportunity, or are referred to us by someone else. If someone refers you, we will always tell you.
When you work with us as a client
The names, job titles and business contact details of the people we deal with, and the requirements you share with us.
How we use it, and our legal basis
- Answering your enquiry or message. Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- Matching specialists with opportunities, and managing applications, interviews and offers. Taking steps towards, and performing, a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running a specialist network.
- Right to work, identity and background checks. Our legal obligations, and in some cases your consent. We will tell you before any background check.
- Paying you, and keeping tax and accounting records. Performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
- Keeping in touch about relevant opportunities. Our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it. You can opt out at any time.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Who we share it with
- Clients and potential employers, only once you have agreed that we may put you forward for a specific opportunity.
- Background check providers, when a check is needed. We will tell you first.
- Payroll and payment partners, when we pay you.
- Service providers that host and run our website, platform and email on our behalf, under contracts that require them to keep your data secure and use it only on our instructions. This website and its forms are hosted on servers in Germany.
- Government agencies, regulators or law enforcement, where the law requires it.
To display its typefaces, this website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. Google does not set cookies for this.
International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. When that happens we make sure the transfer is covered by a UK adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries and messages: as long as we need to respond and follow up, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact.
- Specialists looking for roles: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete your data sooner.
- Specialists who have delivered work with us: up to 7 years, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Client records: while we work together, and for 12 months after our relationship ends.
We will check in from time to time to make sure you still want to hear from us, and tell you how to let us know if you do not.
